Momota injured, one killed in fatal accident in Malaysia

Japanese badminton star Kento Momota was involved in a fatal incident on the Maju Expressway (MEX) in Kuala Lumpur on Monday morning.

The badminton world number one, who just won the Malaysia Masters on Sunday, was travelling with his technical staff and coaches to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) when their van hit the back of a lorry.

The driver was killed in the accident, while the survivors, who reportedly sustained minor injuries, were taken to the Putrajaya Hospital.
