Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik are aiming to finally right the wrong at the upcoming All-England (March 3-8), where the national men's doubles pair have twice reached the final but ended up without the coveted silverware.
“The All-England is a special tournament for us. We have participated many times and reached the final, but have yet to grab the title. We are hoping to fulfill our dream this year,” said Chia.

His partner Soh said the pair have been working hard in training, and are aiming to translate all that hard work into finally securing the oldest badminton competition in the world.
“In training we always give our best. Training is always the most important ground to test our ability. We will give our best in the competition and hopefully the result will come,” said Soh.
The world number two pair have reached the All-England final in 2019 and 2024, but lost to Indonesian opponents on both occasions.
Unlike last year where they exited in the first round, Malaysia’s top pair should clear their opening fixture when they face American pair Chen Zhi Yi-Presley Smith.
Chia-Soh lost in the second round of the on-going German Open, but will not be too concerned about that defeat as they aim to be fresh for the Super 1000 event taking place in Birmingham.
The pair have already arrived at the tournament venue to prepare for the All-England.
Chia-Soh marked the start of the 2026 season by reaching their first final at the Malaysia Open last month.
