Taipei Open: Tang Jie-Ee Wei, Wei Chong-Kai Wun storm into finals

Malaysia have two representatives in the Taipei Open finals after both Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei and Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun won in impressive fashion on Saturday.
Mixed doubles pair Chen-Toh will contest in their second final of the year, courtesy of a 21-14, 21-19 victory over home pair Ye Hong-wei-Lee Chia-hsin in the last four.
The world number 19 pair have the opportunity to add to their Orleans Masters title too, which remains the only title won by a Malaysian representative on the World Tour this year.

Chen-Toh used all of their craft to take the opening game against Ye-Lee, and looked to be in cruise control in the second game with a 15-8 advantage at one point.
But the Malaysians made life difficult for themselves in the closing stages, allowing the Chinese Taipei to rally back, before Chen’s quick return caught Lee by surprise for the victory.
Chen-Toh face another Chinese Taipei duo in Chui Hsiang-chieh-Lin Xiao-min for the mixed doubles title on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Man-Tee stayed on course to defend their men’s doubles title after coming from a game down to beat compatriots and top seeds Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi 17-21, 21-19, 21-9.
The world number 23 pair stormed back to level proceedings after surrendering the opening game, and surprisingly found themselves cruising against Ong-Teo in the deciding game for the victory.
Like last year, Man-Tee square off against a home pair in the final as they take on second seeds Lu Ching-yao-Yang Po-han.
