Former Leeds Rhinos star Brett Delaney has announced his retirement from rugby league due to injury.
Delaney left Leeds following the 2018 Super League season, having required surgery on a facial injury in July of that year, joining Featherstone Rovers.
However, the one-time World Club Challenge champion saw the issue flare up again last month in a match against Halifax and has subsequently decided to call time on his career.
"Unfortunately it's not worked out and it looks like I will have to have another operation, but I've still really enjoyed the short time I've had [at Featherstone]," said Delaney, who also won four Super League titles.
